Last but not least. A test of the last of the 5 AI-powered interior design software. Significant changes and few surprises.
Over the past 4 weeks, I have been exploring the possibilities of using AI to improve the design process. As an experienced interior designer, I am interested in solutions that can help me in my daily work.
Today I tested coolaiid.com
This time I came across a significant change.
The program cropped the photo I added to a square format. Not everyone is prepared for such a situation. A center-cropped photo can lose its essential context.
To avoid distorting the results, I created square reference renderings.
It’s more like a collage generator.
I was surprised by the graphics.
The projects AI created were more like collages than renderings or photos. They were different from those of previous programs. I also had the impression that the prepared proposals were more detailed.
Especially the additional graphics and pictures on the walls.
I ran two tests
- 3 renderings based on an empty room
- 3 renderings based on a room with a bed for reference.

Overall, I am pleasantly surprised by the level of detail.
Looking at the public rendering database, it’s clear that this site has paid great attention to detail. There are no blank walls, even with a minimum of furniture in the reference.
