How I became interested in project management in interior design

I would not call myself an expert in interior design.

However, I have spent the last 2 years reading and learning about project management. And I have probably spent 250 hours practicing managing projects in my own interior design business.

Here is how I first got interested in the interior design process:

Right after I started my business, I was ecstatic. When things got rolling, I was ready to take on any job. And that’s exactly what I did.

It was a disaster.

For the next few years, I was stuck in a logjam of overdue deadlines. Just when I was beginning to assume this was normal, I came across the Theory of Constrains.

A new journey began for me. I became obsessed with figuring out how to better manage my workflow.

So my goal for the next 6 months is:

To develop a solid framework for project management, specifically for independent interior designers who are ready to work more simply.
