“SketchUp to LayOut” by Matt Donley is the best book ever written on using SketchUp and LayOut to create technical drawings.

If you have read it, then you know exactly what I am talking about.

But if you have not read it, here is why:

Reason #1: It covers all the bases.

Even if you have been using SketchUp for a long time, you should read about the basic tools. You’ll be surprised how much of it you did not know.

Reason #2: It presents a solid workflow

The working method presented in this book is a proven one. It allows you to fully exploit the potential of SketchUp and LayOut for creating technical documentation.

Reason #3: It’s easy to read

Matt describes all the features in a very accessible way. There are many concrete examples in the book with step-by-step instructions with pictures. At the same time, it is the essence itself, without unnecessarily complex sentences.

Reason #4: It’s a great for deepen your knowledge

The book comes with a sample file to help you understand and reinforce what you have learned in practice.

But that’s not all.

The material presented in the book is supplemented and deepened by the information on the website mastersketchup.com. This website is a natural continuation of learning and many materials are available for free.

I cannot recommend this book enough.
